Arrests continue in Jerusalem during the month of Ramadan, with occupation forces carrying out scattered arrests in the city today.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem reported that forces arrested Hussam Iyad Abbasi from the Lions Gate area, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa.

They also arrested Rayan Abu al-Hawa after raiding his home in the town of Al-Tur.

The court sentenced Raafat Alayan from the town of Anata to 20 months in prison and a fine of 20,000 shekels.

The Israeli police issued a statement confirming that they had arrested 70 Palestinians from Jerusalem on charges of "illegal" residency in the city over the past 24 hours. They explained that 60 of them were on a bus heading to Al-Aqsa, four from Wadi al-Hummus, three working at a car wash, and two in the Old City.

The police added that they had closed the construction site in Wadi al-Hummus and the car wash.
