Extending Arrests of 7 Silwan Citizens & Arresting 2 Children

The Magistrate Court arrested 7 citizens from Silwan for investigations. Lawyer Muhammad Mahmood, from al Dameer organisation, said the Magistrate court extended the arrest of Ayed and Imad al Abassi, Muhammad Nasser Abu Nab, Amhmood Odegh, Sarhan Sarhan until next Wednesday for further investigations. They were arrested yesterday and have been accused of throwing stones and Molotov cocktails in Silwan.
Mahmood, the lawyer, said the Israeli police also arrested 13-year-old Jihad al Rajabi and Eyad Shweki in Silwan today. They were transferred to the investigation center in Abu G'nem; Israeli forces say they will be released.
According to eye witnesses, the children were arrested while walking home from school.
During the trial the police arrested Muhammad Odeh (brother of the prisoner Mahmood Odeh). He was held for half an hour before he was requested to be taken to the Abu G'nem center. From where he was later released. He was accused of throwing stones and Molotov cocktail in Silwan on 16/11/12. He had been released on 8/11/12 from 4 months in prison. Odeh rejected the new accusations made against him
14-year-old Maher al Rajabi, arrested yesterday, has had his arrest extended by the Magistrate Court until tomorrow.
The Israeli police extended the arrest of 23-year-old Dahud Rayan to present him to court on Tuesday.
The Main court refused the appeal by the lawyer of Muhammad Mousa (23), while agreeing on extending his arrest until next Wednesday; he was arrested on 27/1/13.
For the 6th day in Silwan the Israeli forces continue spreading over the area: setting borders, searching school children on their journeys home, searching cars and ticketing owners.
In the evening Israeli forces raided Hosh al A'war in Silwan, shouting at the houses and frightening the children in the neighborhood.
