Sentencing Female Prisoner Intisar al Sayad to Two and a Half Years
On Sunday the main court sentenced Intisar al Sayad to 30 months; she was charged with stabbing and injuring an Israeli soldier.
Wadi Hilwe's Information Centre says she was arrested in 22nd November 2012 from Saladin Street after she stabbed the soldier. They can confirm that she was presented to the Israeli court, asking to be released on bail under conditions of house arrest but the prosecution refused, claiming she is a risk to national security
Currently she is in Ha Sharon prison after being transferred from al Maskubiye and Ramle. The imprisonment has separated her from her four children aged between 12 and 18 years.
