Israeli forces arrested 4 Palestinians before evacuating and demolishing the area of Ahfad Yunes
Israeli forces gathered at the entrance around 1:30 am and from Ma'ale Adomim's settlement, in front of Ahfad Yunes and from the French Hill. Palestinian activists in the area decided to create a circle and started singing Palestinian songs in reaction to the movements.
Around 2am around 500 soldiers raided the area with the help of a Helicopter and light bombs that were thrown randomly. It was then declared it as a close military area. Activists were forced out and made to produce their ID cards. They were then made to leave the area.
The police arrested 4 Palestinians, among them Fatme abu al Rab (21) another guy from Belin (38), the 3rd from Bethlehem (35) and the forth from Ramallah (59). They were taken to the center of Ma'ale Adomim and accused of breaking the military order
During the raid of the area Israeli forces prevented the media representatives from filming anything.
As the forces came through al Ezariye village a small confrontation took place as the locals threw stones at the forces. Israeli forces then demolished the area with bulldozers, including tents and a park for the children
Ahfad Yunes's area is one of Bab al Shams's area established by dozens of Palestinians and activists on the last Wednesday on the lands of al Ezareye, on land that is threatened by the E1 settlement project.
