Sentencing deputy Totah and former minister Abu Arafeh

The District court sentenced on Thursday the deputy of Palestinian legislative council, Mohammad Omran Totah, and former Jerusalem minister Khaled Ibrahim Abu Arafeh for 30 months of actual imprisonment, and one year of suspended probation. Amjad Abu Asab, head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, told Maan news agency that the District court sentenced Totah and Abu Arafeh for 30 months of actual imprisonment, and one year of suspended probation on charges of being active in Hamas, in addition to imprisonment and suspended probation for six months in case they try to enter the city of Jerusalem. He pointed out that the Israeli forces arrested them on the 23rd of January 2012 while protesting in the Red Cross headquarters as they raided the location and kidnapped them.
