Night clashes in Jerusalem… and the arrest of several Jerusalemites

The Israeli forces arrested 7 Jerusalemites after midnight and took them to Salah Eddin Street police station. Witnesses said that a Musta’ribeen (under cover) unit and an intelligence force along with Israeli forces were deployed in large numbers around the city of Jerusalem, especially in Damascus Gate, Herod’s Gate and Sultan Suleiman Street during which clashes occurred between the Israeli forces and young men of Jerusalem. Witnesses added that the forces arrested 7 Jerusalemites including two minors during the clashes that spread from Solomon’s Cave until Herod’s Gate; the Israeli forces also fired sound bombs towards the civilians. Clashes also occurred in the streets of Jerusalem after Thursday midnight when the Israeli forces arrested a man in Nablus Street while he was walking in the street and for no reason. The forces also arrested 4 other Jerusalemites after assaulting and severely beating them and the clashes spread to the rest of the streets where stones were thrown at police cars which led to the damage of the windows of five cars; an Israeli soldier was slightly injured in the clashes.
