Extending the arrest of four Jerusalemites from Silwan
The Israeli Magistrate court extended on Wednesday the arrest of four Jerusalemites from the village of Silwan for a few more days to continue investigating them. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of 19-year old Jalal Jamal Shkeir, his 18-year old brother Yehya and Mohammad Jweiles until next Sunday on charges of throwing stones in Damascus gate, knowing that they were arrested on Tuesday. The judge also extended the arrest of 34-year old Murad Radwan until Thursday on charges of slashing the tires of settlers’ cars in Silwan. Murad’s brother, Mohammad, said that police personnel raided the family’s home on Wednesday’s afternoon to arrest Murad but did not find him home as he was at work and so they called him up to come to Salah Eddin Street police station. Mohammad added: “my brother Murad went to the police station after getting off work at 8 p.m. where he was arrested. We received a call at 4 a.m. from the investigator to inform us of Murad’s arrest and that he will be presented to court on Thursday.” Mohammad Ramadan noted that his brother is married and has four children (oldest is 15 years old and youngest is two).
