August 26, 2013

The District and Magistrate courts extended on Sunday the arrest of five Jerusalemites from Esawyeh.

Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the Magistrate court extended the arrest of Ahmad Dirbas and Mohammad Hussein Obeid until next Thursday to continue investigating them.

He added that the prosecution submitted an indictment against Mahmoud and Shahin Alyan in the District court on Sunday, which included charges of assaulting a settler in Esawyeh on the 17th of July, 2013. A session has been scheduled for next Tuesday.

The Magistrate court judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Nahed Obeid until next Sunday, knowing that he was arrested on Sunday’s early morning hours after raiding and searching his home in Esawyeh. A confidential session was held on Sunday and he was then transferred to Al-Maskobyeh cells for investigation.
