Sentencing a young man…extending the arrest of another and releasing 6 Jerusalemites
The Israeli police released 6 Jerusalemites on Wednesday and extended the arrest of a young man and sentenced another for actual imprisonment. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, informed Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the Magistrate court judge sentenced 23-year old Mohammad Mshashe’ for 3 months of actual imprisonment on charges of throwing stones in Al-Aqsa Mosque; Mohammad is supposed to turn himself in next Sunday. He was arrested on 15/09/2013 and was then released on 02/10/2013 and was under open house arrest since. He added that the District court refused to release 18-year old Ishaq Ghateet who has been detained for nearly two months and instead extended his arrest until completing the legal procedures against him. The Magistrate court judge released 15-year old Jalal Naser without any conditions; note that Jalal was arrested last Sunday. The Center was also informed that the Israeli police released 52-year old Mohammad Abdeljalil Idris without conditions on Wednesday morning after presenting him to the Magistrate court. Idris went to the police station to turn in his son Mouayad after the police called him up over the phone on Tuesday afternoon and upon arrival the father was surprised when he was investigated and detained. His 20-year old son Mouayad was presented to court on Wednesday and the judge extended his arrest until Friday. The police also extended the arrest of 16-year old Abdelkarim Nawkad, 22-year old Shadi Al-Labban, Mohammad Firawi and 11-year old Naseem Natsheh; note that they were arrested on Tuesday.
