November 27, 2013

The Israeli Magistrate court judge postponed the trial of five activists from Jerusalem until 17/12/2013 on charges of assaulting police individuals, obstructing their work and participating in an illegal protest. The activists are: Omar Shalabi, secretary of Fateh movement in Jerusalem; Mousa Abbasi, president of Palestinian Youth Parliament; Malek Haddad, Kayed Rajabi and Fadi Abu Sbeih. The case was opened in 2009 when they participated in the closing activities of “Jerusalem- Arab Capital of Culture” in Damascus gate. The activists were arrested and then released with financial bails and conditions of house arrest but the Israeli police called them last week and reopened the case.
