The Magistrate court extends the arrest of a young man and releases six others

The Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of one young man from Esawyeh and released 6 Jerusalemites last Thursday. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate court judge released Khaled Al-Zeer with a bail of 1000 NIS; note that he was arrested last Wednesday after handing him a demolition order for a room built on his land. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the Magistrate court extended the arrest of Yazan Mheisen until Friday; note that the prosecution requested to extend his arrest for 7 days but the judge refused the request for lack of evidence. Lawyer Mohammad added that a session was held on Thursday in the District court for Mahmoud and Shahin Alayan (a hearing session before sentencing) and it was postponed until 5/3/2014 for sentencing on charges of throwing stones at an Israeli vehicle in Esawyeh; note that they were arrested last August and were released in September with a financial bail and on condition of house arrest. Another session was held in court for the minor Wael Sabteh to reduce the house arrest imposed on him but the judge refused the request. In a related matter, the Israeli police released on Wednesday Khalil Tarhooni, Saeed Halabi, Wisam Halabi, Mustafa Tarhooni and Rami Abu Sbeih after signing financial bails; note that they were arrested last Tuesday.
