Extending the arrest of the Essawis and the lawyer Al-Safadi
Amjad Abu Asab, head of Jerusalemites prisoners and detainees families committee, said that the Magistrate court in Jerusalem extended on Thursday the arrest of Shadi Essawi and his sister Shireen Essawi who is a lawyer and also extended the arrest of the lawyer Amjad Safadi until next Thursday to continue interrogating them; note that the case is kept confidential. The Magistrate court also extended the arrest of the freed prisoner Midhat Essawi until next Thursday. Midhat was arrested on Thursday early morning hours while his brother Shadi and sister Shireen were arrested last week when the Israeli forces raided the village of Esawyeh and arrested them and left an order for their brother Midhat to go to Al-Maskobyeh. It is noteworthy that Midhat is a former prisoner and had spent over 20 years in the Israeli prisons and is one of the leaders of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Midhat is married and has one daughter that was born while he was imprisoned last year.
