One Marabout was injured with a rubber bullet in his head on Sunday morning after the Special Forces broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque and used sound grenades and rubber bullets against the Marabouts. The Israeli forces started their seige on Al-Aqsa Mosque since the early morning hours and prevented all citizens from entering including students of Al-Aqsa schools and the “Masateb” students. They only allowed employees of the Islamic Awqaf to enter through the opened gates (Hutta, Al-Majles and Al-Silsileh Gates) and closed all the other Gates and placed iron barriers at Al-Aqsa gates. Witnesses said that the occupation forces broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque through Al-Silsileh Gate and attacked the worshippers using sound grenades and rubber bullets which led to the injury of 4 citizens who were transferred to medical clinics for treatment. The most serious injury was a young man who was injured in his forehead with a rubber bullet and he lost consciousness and was transferred to the hospital. At 8 a.m. and after the intervention of the Islamic Awqaf, the students were allowed to go to their schools inside Al-Aqsa and women were also allowed to enter Al-Aqsa as well as men above the age of 40. Nine extremists broke into Al-Aqsa through Dung Gate including the Israeli Minister of Housing, Uri Ariel, who only walked towards Al-Silsileh Gate as the Marabouts (men and women) thwarted the group break-ins of Al-Aqsa Mosque on occasion of the so-called “Purim Holiday”. The occupation forces arrested Aida Sidawi after assaulting and severely beating her and also arrested 7 other Jerusalem after assaulting them.
