Sentencing two young men and the conditional release of 5 children and one young man
The Israeli court sentenced on Tuesday the 33-year old Majed Ragheb Jo’beh for three years and six months of actual imprisonment on charges of membership in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and funding activities for the movement in the city of Jerusalem and donating amounts of money for the prisoners’ families. The Magistrate court judge also sentenced Fadi Nammari for 5 months of actual imprisonment. In a related matter, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the Magistrate judge released the child Rashid Risheq with a 750-NIS bail and house arrest for 7 days. The District court judge decided to released the child Mahmoud Zaghal with a bail of 5000 NIS and a third-party bail of 10 thousand NIS in addition to house arrest with allowing him to go and take the governmental final exams (Tawjihi); lawyer Mohammad explained that the District court’s decision invalidates the Magistrate court’s decision of extending his client’s arrest until the beginning of June. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate judge decided to release the children Mouayad Salaymeh, Mahdi Abu Sneineh and Ahmad Al-Agha with a bail of 750 NIS and house arrest for 7 days for each. The judge also released the young man Ziad Abu Hadwan after detaining him for more than two weeks in the cells of Al-Maskobyeh.
