Hundreds of Jerusalemites perform the Dawn and Friday Noon Prayers in the streets of Jerusalem
June 20, 2014

Hundreds of Palestinians performed on Friday the Dawn and Noon prayers in the streets of Jerusalem and at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque after preventing men under the age of 50 from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque. During the Israeli restrictions, the forces assaulted the worshippers using batons and pepper gas near Al-Silsileh and Al-Majles gates while they attempted to enter Al-Aqsa and arrested two young men near Al-Silsileh gate and a third one from the streets of Jerusalem. The Israeli forces established checkpoints in all the roads leading to Al-Aqsa and tightened the procedures at Al-Aqsa gates. They also launched the thermal balloon to record the prayers that were held in the neighbourhoods and roads near Al-Aqsa while Al-Aqsa courtyards seemed empty of worshippers except for old men and women. The preachers during the Noon prayer denounced the Israeli restrictions and preventing worshippers from entering Al-Aqsa and also denounced the Israeli attacks on the residents of the West Bank.
