The arrest of the freed prisoner Samer Essawi
The Israeli forces arrested on Monday afternoon the freed prisoner Samer Essawi after raiding his house in the village of Esawyeh. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that a unit of Israeli forces raided the house of the freed prisoner concurrently with clashes in the village and arrested him and transferred him to Al-Maskobyeh for interrogation and then extended his arrest to present him to court on Tuesday without interrogating him. The occupation authorities released Samer Essawi on 23/12/2013 after he went on a hunger strike for 270 days to protest against the arbitrary arrest following his release within the prisoners exchange deal in October 2011.
