Silwan children are enjoying activities on their second day of fun this week
August 3, 2010

Today saw the second installment of the Summer Games hosted by the Madaa Creative Center in Silwan. In the volatile atmosphere and reality of growing up in the threatened East Jerusalem neighborhood, the light-hearted children's events were a welcome and joyous respite. Children were guided through a series of archaeological sites to learn more about their own neighborhood, including the Silwan spring and other Canaanite archaeological areas. Several workshops and a puppet show also took place, to great delight of all those who attended. All activities are put on for free by the Madaa Creative Center: www.madaasilwan.org
