Arresting thirteen Jerusalemites and extending the arrest of 17 others and releasing two young men
The Israeli forces arrested on Monday early morning hours six young men from the village of Hizma northeast of Jerusalem after raiding their homes. The head of the local council in the village of Hizma, Mwafaq Khatib, said that the Israeli forces raided the village on Monday morning and arrested Mohammad Fadel Sbeih, Ibrahim Atef Masoud Khatib, Shadi Mohammad Mahmoud Najib and his brother Daoud, Rabeh Nasri and his brother Ramzi. Shu’fat refugee camp The Israeli forces also raided Shu’fat refugee camp and the neighborhood of Ras Khamis on Monday morning and arrested three children. They are: Mutasem Haddam, Mohammad Deebeh and Ibrahim Tantash. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the Magistrate court judge extended on Monday the arrest of two minors from Shu’fat refugee camp, Mousa Kurdi and Mohammad Deebeh, until 21/08/2014. Old City of Jerusalem Lawyer Mohammad added that the Magistrate judge also extended the arrest of the minors Omar Hasan Firawi and Ibrahim, and the young man Thaer Assaileh from the Old City of Jerusalem until Tuesday; note that they were arrested on Monday early morning. Extension of arrest The lawyer also added that the District court judge extended the arrest of Ahmad Tawil until 07/09/2014 which is when the so-called “conduct officer” will release his report and discuss the possibility of releasing him with a financial bail and house arrest conditions; note that the public prosecution submitted an indictment against him on Monday. The judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Shannak until Tuesday in order to submit an indictment against him and Mohammad Seif until 21/08/2014. The Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Amjad Qawwas until 04/09/2014 to challenge the evidence and lawyer Mahmoud explained that he will appeal the decision of extending his client’s arrest. Releases Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud added that the Magistrate court judge released Saleh Dirbas and Hasan Abu Khdeir with a 2000-NIS financial bail and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS.
