Arrests, extensions of arrests and isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque
The Israeli police announced the arrest of 33-year old Nihad Abbasi after raiding his work location in one of the construction sites in Tel Aviv and transferred him to the police station for interrogation. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, explained that the District court judge refused the appeal he submitted to release his client and extended his arrest until 27/09/2014 rather than extending his arrest until the beginning of September as decided by the Magistrate court judge. Lawyer Mohammad added that a session was held in the Magistrate court for Mohammad Shannak and the indictment submitted against him was modified and several points were deleted; note that the judge extended his arrest until next week. The lawyer added that the police released on Tuesday night the 12-year old child Mohammad Amin Abdelrazeq and 13-year old child Mohammad Naser Abdelrazeq from Al-Thori on condition of house arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS. He explained that the Magistrate judge decided to release them but the police appealed the decision in the District court in order to extend their arrest but after a session was held in the District court, the judge decided to release them. The Magistrate court judge also decided to release Thaer Assaileh, Omar Firawi and Ibrahim Abu Sneineh on condition of isolating them from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 10 days and a third-party bail for each.
