In pictures: The Israeli forces attack the funeral of the Martyr Mohammad Sinokrot and dozens of injuries

The Israeli forces attacked the funeral of the Martyr Mohammad Abdelmajeed Sinokrot using sound and tear gas grenades and rubber bullets near Herod’s Gate and also raided the “Mujahedeen” cemetery in Salah Eddin Street concurrently with the burying of the Martyr Sinokrot. Injuries According to the information available to Wadi Hilweh Information Center, hundreds of Jerusalemites suffocated after they were directly hit with tear gas grenades and dozens were injured with shrapnel of sound grenades and rubber bullets in addition to injuries with bruises after they were assaulted with batons. The Palestinian Red Crescent explained that 11 injuries were transferred to Al-Maqased hospital for treatment including two injuries that were described as “critical”. Arrests In another violation of the sanctity of the funeral, the Israeli forces broke into “Mujahedeen” cemetery and assaulted the participants arrested some of them in addition to chasing the young men inside the cemetery without taking into account the sanctity of the burial of the Martyr; note that they also fired sound grenades inside the cemetery. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the forces arrested Nidal Sinokrot, Dr. Zaki Mhalwes, Khamis Ayyash and Shaker Naser Eddin and assaulted them and then took them to Salah Eddin Street police station. The Martyr’s body After conducting autopsy on the Martyr’s body in Abu Kbeir Institute which was also supervised by the Palestinian doctor Saber Aloul, the body was transferred to Al-Maqased hospital and then onto the Martyr’s house in the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz where hundreds of Palestinians were waiting on the arrival of the body and welcomed him with fireworks and handing out sweets. The funeral then headed towards Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Martyr was carried over the shoulders of the participants who also held his pictures, Palestinian flags and banners of Palestinian parties. After performing the prayer on Martyr’s body at Al-Aqsa Mosque, the funeral headed towards Hutta Gate and through the neighborhoods of the Old City reaching Herod’s Gate and the cemetery in Salah Eddin Street. Night clashes in Jerusalem Night clashes renewed in the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz near the Martyr’s house and sound grenades were heavily fired towards the houses in the small alleys of the neighborhood; note that scattered clashes broke out in the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz all day on Monday. Clashes also broke out in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan and Al-Sowaneh to condemn the Martyrdom of the child Sinokrot. The 35-year old Ashraf Abu Diab was directly injured in his face while he was standing in his balcony in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh and was transferred to the hospital. The Israeli forces arrested one child and one young man from Silwan on Monday. The Martyr’s father The Martyr’s father held a press conference on Monday noon and talked about targeting his son with a rubber bullet while he was heading to Abdeen Mosque to perform the Night Prayer. He was injured in the head and suffered severe bleeding in the brain and fractures in his skull. He was transferred to Al-Maqased hospital where he received the necessary treatment and then to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. He explained that the police called him on Monday to inquire about the arrangements of the funeral and its route and he confirmed that the family requested to receive the body in the daytime with delaying and with no conditions.
