Sentencing two Jerusalemites and releasing one young man from Silwan after completing his prison sentence

The Magistrate court in Jerusalem sentenced on Wednesday the 39-year old Jerusalemite prisoner Rami Zakaria Ibrahim Barakeh and the 32-year old Haitham Ragheb “Mohammad Ragheb” for actual imprisonment of 20 months after they were convicted of working inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque through conducting courses and lessons for the memorization of the Holy Qur’an; note that they have been arrested for 10 months. The Prison Services in Rimon released on Wednesday the 25-year old Jerusalemite prisoner Daoud Ata Rayyan who is a resident of the neighborhood of Bi’er Ayoub in Silwan after he completed his 11-month prison sentence. Rayyan was transferred in between the prisons of Bi’er Sheva, Nafha and Rimon during his prison sentence. It is noteworthy that the freed prisoner Rayyan underwent the “Empty Intestine Strike” for one month. On the other hand, the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Tamer Jweihan until 28/09/2014 and the 17-year old Nidal Adas until Friday; note that Adas was arrested on Wednesday.
