The public prosecution submits an indictment against the policeman who assaulted the child Tarek Abu Khdeir
The public prosecution submitted on Wednesday an indictment to the Magistrate court in Jerusalem against the Israeli policeman who assailed the Palestinian child who is also a holder of the American citizenship, the 15-year old Tarek Abu Khdeir. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the prosecution submitted an indictment against the policeman who assaulted his client Abu Khdeir which included charges of assaulting a minor and causing aggravated damages; note that the policeman has been suspended from work since the assault in early July. Masked forces from the occupation police had arrested Abu Khdeir on the 4th of July, 2014 during the clashes that broke out in Shu’fat after the kidnapping and burning of the child Mohammad Abu Khdeir. During the arrest, Tarek Abu Khdeir was severely beat by the forces that also handcuffed him; note that he suffered a broken jaw and wounds in his face. Lawyer Mahmoud explained that he is following up with the case of interrogation the Israeli policeman, and pointed out that his client who is born in the United State of America was visiting his relatives in Jerusalem and after he was released and finished his house arrest, he went home.
