Prayers in the streets of Jerusalem

Thousands of Palestinians performed the Friday Noon Prayer in the streets of Jerusalem and at Al-Aqsa Gates after young men under the age of 50 were prevented from entering Al-Aqsa. Palestinians performed the prayer in the neighborhoods of Wadi Al-Joz and Ras Al-Amoud, Salah Eddin Street and Al-Musrara in addition to prayers that were held at Al-Aqsa Gates and in the alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem. Damascus Gate arrest The Israeli forces arrested the 22-year old Marwan Majed Shweiki and 22-year old Mohammad Naser Shweiki after they were stopped while exiting Damascus Gate. They were both assaulted and severely beat and their uncle, Saeed Shweiki, who is a member of the Palestinian Arab Front and his brother Talal, were also assaulted as they tried to defend their nephews. Al-Silsileh Gate arrest The police arrested one young man at Al-Silsileh Gate which is one of Al-Aqsa Gates after they assaulted the worshippers who attempted to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque. Assaulting the worshippers in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud The forces fired sound grenades towards the worshippers in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud immediately after the prayer was over. They also pushed and assaulted them with batons causing limited clashes in which the forces fired sound grenades and rubber bullets towards the young men who responded by throwing stones and firecrackers towards the settlement in Ras Al-Amoud.
