In pictures: Demolishing a “residential caravan” in Beit Hanina
The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished on Tuesday morning a residential caravan in the neighborhood of Al-Ashqarya in Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the 40-square meters residential caravan is owned by Mohammad Shweiki where his workers reside. Shweiki explained that the caravan has been sitting there for the past two years and the demolition came without prior notice. The forces raided the caravan and removed part of the furniture and then demolished it. Shweiki also pointed out that the occupation municipality demolished his house twice before. The first demolition was 10 years ago while the second was 8 years; note that he continuously tried to obtain a building permit to build on his land but the municipality claims that the land is classified as “green” where building is prohibited.
