Releasing three prisoners and extending the arrest of 11 Jerusalemites

The administration of the Israeli prisons released on Thursday three Jerusalemite prisoners from the neighborhoods of Silwan after completing their prison sentences. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the administration of Nafha prison released the 19-year old Jerusalemite prisoner Louai Sami Rajabi who is a resident of the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan after he completed his 8 and half-month prison sentence in which he spent in the prisons of Eshel in Beer Sheva and Nafha. The 27-year old prisoner Ayman Hassouneh was also released from Nafha prison after he completed his 6 and a half-prison sentence; Hassouneh was arrested on 14/12/2014. The 21-year old prisoner Omar Abu Khater was also released from Negev prison after completing his 17-month prison sentence. Extensions of arrest… On the other hand, the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the 21-year old Mohammad Mahmoud Salaymeh until 12/7/2015 for sentencing. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the deal of imprisoning Salaymeh for 25 months of actual imprisonment was presented to the court during Thursday’s session and the judge postponed the session to respond to the deal and make a decision regarding the amount of the compensation. Lawyer Mahmoud pointed out that Salaymeh was convicted of carrying out a run-over attack in Jerusalem at the beginning of last March in which he ran-over three female soldiers and one settler; Salaymeh was injured with critical injured after one of the light rail’s guards shot him. The lawyer added that the District judge extended the arrest of Mahmoud Abu Usba’ (accused of carrying out a stabbing attack in Jaffa Street in West Jerusalem) until 12/7/2015. He also extended the arrest of Kayed Rajabi and Mohammad Annous until 9/7/2015 when the so-called “conduct officer” will release his report. The public prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against Naser Abu Jom’a and the judge extended his arrest until 28/7/2105. The Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Taher Sarhan, Mohammad Naser and Malek Shweiki until Sunday. The public prosecution also submitted indictments against Suhaib Al-A’war, Tawfiq Shweiki and Basel Shweiki and the judge extended their arrest until the beginning of July. In a related matter, the District judge approved the appeal submitted by the police against releasing the 13-year old Mohammad Jaber and extended his arrest until next Sunday.
