Releasing two prisoners from Silwan…prison sentences and extensions of arrest

The occupation prisons’ administration released the two prisoners Ali Jamal Shqeir and his brother Jalal from Silwan after they both completed their 25-month prison sentences. In a related matter, the Magistrate judge sentenced Kayed Rajabi for 5 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 6 months for three years. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Ali Aweisat and Majd Shkeirat until 17/9/2015; they were both arrested last Thursday. The judge also decided to release Mahmoud Naser with a 750-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 4 days. The judge also released Mohammad Abu Sbitan and Mustafa Ashayer unconditionally, and sentenced the child Mohammad Za’atra for a 150-hour course, a fine of 1800 NIS and a suspended probation of 4 months for two years. Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer explained that the judge extended the arrest of the minor Haitham Barakat until completing the legal procedures against him, and Nasri Firawi until 13/9/2015. A session was held for the child Mohammad Abu Nab and reduced the releasing conditions he previously imposed on him allowing him attend school.
