Esawyeh: the injury of one child and arresting seven Jerusalemites
A Jerusalemite child was injured with a rubber bullet in his head and seven others were arrested on Saturday during a raid on the village of Esawyeh carried out by the Israeli occupation forces. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that one child was injured with a rubber bullet in his head and was transferred to Al-Maqased hospital and then to Hadassah hospital for treatment. Al-Maqased hospital and according to initial information explained that the child suffered fractures in the skull and bruises in the brain due to a rubber bullet. The center was informed that the injured is the 13-year old Mohammad Issa and the child’s uncle explained that his nephew’s condition is critical and the child cannot move his right arm; he was transferred to Hadassah hospital to conduct necessary check-up and monitor his medical condition. Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained that the occupation forces raided the village in a provocative way and raided the coffee chop in the village and arrested five children; they also arrested two young men after raiding their homes. Abu Hummos added that clashes broke out during the raid and the forces fire live bullets in the air. Raiding Sheikh Jarrah In a related matter, the forces arrested the child Mohammad Risheq after raiding the surrounding of “Al-Sumoud camp” building in the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah when there were no clashes in the area. The forces also arrested Mohammad Hani Assaileh from Al-Wad Street and assaulted and severely beat him. Silwan Later Saturday night, occupation forces personnel raided the neighborhoods of Batn Al-Hawa, Al-Bustan and Bi’er Ayoub in Silwan and randomly fired sound grenades.
