The occupation imposes administrative arrest on the father of Martyr Thaer Abu Ghazaleh
The Minister of Israeli Army issued a decision on Tuesday to transfer Abdel Salam Khader Abu Ghazaleh, father of Martyr Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, to administrative arrest. Abdel Salam was arrested after raiding his house on Monday early morning in the Old City of Jerusalem. He was detained and interrogated for several hours under the pretext of “revenge statements” he said while being interrogated after the Martyrdom of his son two weeks ago. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Minister of Army issued his decision to transfer Abdel Salam to administrative arrest. He pointed out that the Magistrate judge decided to release him on Monday but the prosecution refused the court’s decision and submitted an appeal to the District court; he was released late Monday night on condition of attending court on Tuesday morning. Despite the lack of any evidence against Abdel Salam, the occupation insisted on arresting him and transferring him to administrative arrest. The 19-year old Thaer Abu Ghazaleh passed away on 8/10/2015 after being shot in Tel Aviv. The occupation authorities are still detaining his body in Abu Kbeir hospital and refused to release the body in order to bury it following the Islamic standards.
