Extending the arrest of the brother of Martyr Odai Abu Jamal and calling his parents for interrogation
The occupation police extended on Tuesday night the arrest of Ali Abu Jamal until Wednesday while his parents are still being interrogated at O’z police center. Abu Jamal family explained that the occupation forces raided the family house of Martyr Odai Abu Jamal in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber and arrested his brother Ali. While detaining him, the occupation intelligence requested his parents for interrogation at the police center. The family added that the police extended the arrest of Ali until Wednesday. The family also pointed out that “property tax” employees along with police personnel raided the house of Odai on Tuesday morning under the pretext of “accumulation of debt” and required the family to pay 5 thousand NIS and threatened to arrest the Martyr’s parents in case they don’t pay. This comes within the harassment and punishment the occupation authorities impose on the Martyrs’ families in the city of Jerusalem; note that Odai passed away last October after carrying out a dual attack in West Jerusalem. Odai’s body was detained for 38 days and his family’s house was closed with concrete last July.
