February 2, 2016

The occupation municipality’s crews distributed on Monday several administrative demolition orders to residential establishments in the village of Esawyeh under the pretext of building without a permit. Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained that municipality crews along with occupation forces and intelligence personnel raided the village and took pictures or several streets and residential establishments (buildings and houses). Abu Hummos added that the municipality distributed 7 administrative demolition orders to residential establishments including a 5-storey building; note that the establishments have been established since 4-10 years ago. He also added that the forces detained the 15-year old Mohammad Mousa Hamdan and took him to the village’s entrance under the pretext of “violating the house-arrest conditions imposed on him”; he was released afterwards. Abu Hummos added that several commercial stores closed their doors after the raid on the village in order to avoid random unjustified fines. On the other hand, joint crews between occupation municipality and Nature and Parks authority along with Israeli forces raided the land of Khaled Al-Zeer in Al-Abbasyeh neighborhood in Silwan. Al-Zeer explained that the Nature and Parks authority carried out excavation works in his land without informing him about the reason.
