Arrests…prison sentences…releases…extensions of arrest
The occupation forces arrested on Tuesday a child from the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the occupation forces arrested the 17-year old Fahmi Za’tari from Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan. Prison sentences On the other hand, the judge sentenced the child Omar Abu Madi for 7 months of actual imprisonment, a 2500-NIS fine and a suspended probation of 4 months for three years. The judge also sentenced Mohammad Jayousi for 6 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 4 months for two years. Wadi Hilweh Information Centre was informed that the District judge sentenced the 15-year old Baker Mahmoud Abbasi and 15-year old Omar Daoud Abbasi for 18 months of actual imprisonment; they have to turn themselves in at the end of March. They were arrested on the 28th of last July and were released after two weeks on condition of house-arrest. Extensions of arrest Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge extended the arrest of Hijazi Abu Sbeih until completing the legal procedures against him; Basel Shweiki, Subhi Abu Khalifeh and Bara’ Mahmoud until 21/2/2016; Bilal Abu Ghanem until 13/01/2016; Daoud Mheisen until 3/4/2016 and Rami Mheisen until 3/3/2016. The judge also extended the arrest of Abed Salloum until 7/4/2016, Fadi Alayan until 23/2/2016, Akram Mustafa and Mohammad Ghrouf until 18/2/2016, Adham Sabteh until 6/3/2016 for sentencing and Mohammad Sarhan until 23/5/2016. Releases The judge decided to release the minor Majd Halawani with a 5-thousnad NIS bail, house-arrest and a third-party bail. The judge also released the child Anas Abu Asab with a 700-NIS bail, a third-party bail and house-arrest for 5 days; and released Yousef Za’tara and Mohammad Dari with a 500-NIS bail, a third-party bail and house-arrest for 5 days for each.
