Arresting four children from the Old City of Jerusalem and Shu’fat

The occupation forces arrested on Wednesday night four Jerusalemite children from the Old City of Jerusalem and the neighborhood of Shu’fat. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli police arrested 14-year old Yousef Mohammad Yousef Masharqa and 13-year old Mohammad Nabil Tawil from the Old City. Yousef’s mother explained that the Israeli forces arrested her son and his friend Mohammad while they were playing in the Old City. They were transferred to Al-Qishleh police station and were interrogated alone without the presence of their families. Amjad Abu Asab, head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, explained that the Israeli police arrested 13-year old Mohammad Omar Abu Khdeir and 13-year old Mohammad Abdel Hakim Idais from the neighborhood of Shu’fat north of Jerusalem. Lawyer Mahmoud also explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrested of the child Fathi Dweik until 18/2/2016, Abed Salloum until completing the legal procedures against him and Mohammad Jaber until 11/2/2016. The lawyer added that the judge held a session for the children Hasan Abbasi, Emran Abu Sbeih and Mohammad Sarhan and a session was scheduled for them on 1/3/2016. The District judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Burqan until 17/2/2016, Basem Natsheh until 11/2/2016, Mohammad Za’tari until 12/2/2016 and Sari Najib until 1/2/2016. The judge decided to release Mutasem Hajij with a 5-thousand NIS third-party bail and house-arrest for 3 days.
