Arresting 11 Jerusalemite children in the last 24 hours
The occupation forces arrested 11 Jerusalemite children in the last 24 hours including three females aged between 12-17 years old. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the forces arrested on Tuesday 13-year old Mahmoud Ashraf Mahmoud Obeid, 16-year old Adel Naser Mahmoud, 14-year old Nour Mahdi Abu Rmeileh, 12-year old Mohannad Ma’moon Abu Asab and 12-year old Ala’ Ali Sidawi from the village of Esawyeh. The lawyer explained that the forces arrested some of the children after raiding their homes and others were called for interrogations at Al-Maskobyeh police center. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the Israeli forces arrested 15-year old Mohammad Hadreh from the village of Al-Tur. They also arrested two Jerusalemite girls, they are: 14-year old Tasneem Abu Rammouz and 14-year old Haneen Sarhan; they extended the arrest of Abu Rammouz until Thursday and Sarhan until Wednesday. The judge also extended the arrest of 15-year old Rama Abdel Latif Ja’abees until next Sunday; she was accused of possession of knives to carry out a stabbing attack in the area of Damascus Gate. The lawyer also said that the Israeli forces arrested on Monday 17-year old Ahmad Kawasmi from Shu’fat refugee camp to interrogate him in regards to what he posted on his Facebook account “I want to be a Martyr”. Also, the 17-year old Ahmad Naeem Ashayer was arrested on Monday from the village of Al-Tur. Extensions of arrest On the other hand, the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Abdullah Abu Khatee until Thursday, Fayez Farhan until the beginning of June (conduct officer’s report) and Mohammad Tufaha until mid-March. The judge also decided to extended the arrest of Ala’ Salah and Mahmoud Mheisen until 24/3/2016, Hussam Alayan until 9/3/2016, Sufian Far’on until completing the legal procedures against him, Samer Abu Eisheh and Hijazi Abu Sbeih until 14/3/2016, Mousab Alayan and Luqman Aton until 22/2/2016. Releases The judge decided to release the child Mohammad Jaber and Basem Natsheh with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 5 days for each. Extending the administrative arrest The occupation also extended the administrative arrest imposed on Ibrahim Musleh for 3 months. Witnesses explained that the forces arrested a 28-year old man from Nablus Street in Jerusalem under the pretext of “possession of a knife” and arrested another young man from the area of Damascus Gate and searching and assaulting him. Extending the arrest of the child Ahmad Manasra On the other hand, the District judge extended the arrest of 14-year old Ahmad Manasra until the beginning of March. The child’s uncle explained that the judge extended the arrest of his nephew to continue discussing the charges against him before convicting him. He added that his nephew has been detained in an internal rehabilitation institution since last October.
