Arresting 4 Jerusalemites…prison sentences….and extensions of arrest
The occupation forces arrested four Jerusalemites last Monday.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the forces arrested 15-year old Mohammad Darwish Aziz Issa from the village of Esawyeh and 15-year old Mohammad Ra’fat Mohammad Abu Sroor.
The forces also arrested Samir Alami after raiding his home in the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh in Jerusalem and Ashraf Yassin after raiding his home in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan and Yassin Al-Razem from the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh while he was driving his vehicle.
The judge sentenced Omar Halawani for 8 and a half months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 4 months for three years on charges of “incitement on Facebook”.
The judge also sentenced Mohammad Ali As’ad Aweisat for 13 months of actual imprisonment and a 4-thousand NIS fine and sentenced his brother Muhtadi for 8 months of actual imprisonment and a fine of 2 thousand NIS in addition to a suspended probation of 6 months for three years.
Extensions of arrest…
On the other hand, lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud said that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the child Yousef Abu Jom’a, Amir Rashid Abu Jom’a and Mustafa Abu Qteish until 5/4/2016 and extended the house-arrest imposed on the child Omar Abu Ishaq with allowing him to go to school.
Lawyer Mahmoud added that the public prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against 5 children from Al-Tur that were arrested by the Musta’ribeen unit (undercover police) and extended their arrest until Thursday. They are: Abdullah Samer Fahed Abu Sbitan (17), Basem Maher Sbitani (17), Siraj Mahmoud Odeh Abu Sbitan (16), Mahmoud Ahmad Abulhawa (18) and Omar Abulhawa (16).
The judge also extended the arrest of Sundos Samir Obeid from the village of Esawyeh until 11/4/2016 when the so-called “conduct officer” will release his report and Hamada Hareez until 11/5/2016 for sentencing and Majd Darwish until 20/4/2016 for sentencing.
The lawyer added that the judge extended the arrest of Odai Al-Sha’er until 7/4/2016, Younes Alayan and Ali Mheisen until completing the legal procedures against them; a session was scheduled for them on 11/4/2016 to read the indictments against them.
Mohammad Shalabi was presented to the judge and a session was scheduled for him until 4/5/2016 and a session was scheduled for Akram Mustafa until 4/6/2016 and Tawfiq Othman until 10/5/2016.
The judge also extended the arrest of Omar Tawil, Nour Abu Hadwan and Seif Tawil until 18/4/2016 and decided to release Zuheir Salaymeh and Jihad Bazlameet on conditions of a 750-NIS bail and house-arrest for 5 days, and released Malek Aweisat with a 1000-NIS bail, house-arrest for 8 days and a third-party bail.
