Silwan: Demolition orders for several houses in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh
The occupation municipality’s crews along with Israeli forces raided on Saturday the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan and distributed “demolition notices” to five residential houses under the pretext of building without a permit.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that municipality crews raided “Hosh Al-A’war” in Ein Al-Lozeh and took pictures of commercial and residential establishments as well as the streets of the neighborhood and then handed demolition notices to five residential houses.
The center added that the municipality crews handed administrative demolition orders to:
- Mohammad Talal Haleisi: A 110-square meters apartment that consists of three rooms and their facilities. It is on the third floor of a residential building and was built in November 2014. Mohammad lives with him wife in the apartment.
- Abbas Khalil Al-A’war: A 100-square meters apartment that consists of four rooms and their facilities.
- Mousa Fayez Abu Tayeh: A 60-square meters apartment established in 2001. Abu Tayeh attempted to obtain a permit for his apartment from the municipality and also nearly 90 thousand NIS in fines.
The center was informed that the municipality crews also handed a demolition order to a house in Ein Al-Lozeh and another to a house in Wadi Hilweh in Silwan.
Municipality crews also issued a fine to merchant selling vegetables in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan under the pretext of displaying his merchandise in front of his store.
