Arresting 21 Jerusalemites…mostly elderly

The occupation forces carried out a series of arrests in the city of Jerusalem on Thursday early morning in which the elderly (59-70 years old) were targeted.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces raided the house of several Jerusalemites, searched and damaged their contents.

The detainees are:

Saeed Awad Sumrein (70), Mithqal Fayez Al-Qaq (70), Omar Abed Sumrein (59), Taher Salah Arafeh (63), Mousa Julani (63) and Tawfiq Gheith (60). They were arrested from the neighborhoods of Al-Thori, Abbasyeh, Ras Al-Amoud and the Middle Neighborhood in Silwan.

Atyeh Naeem Syouri (60), Mustafa Mohammad Salfiti (67) and Omar Hasan (45); arrested from the Old City of Jerusalem.

Nabil Sharif (70), Adel Abu Rmeileh (68) and Omar Obeido; arrested from Beit Hanina.

Ribhi Ghosheh (63), Abu Wisam Rajabi (62), Sufian Jadallah (50) and Akram Shurafa (45).

The center explained that the forces arrested 28 elderly Jerusalemites aged between 50-70 years since the beginning of April.

The Magistrate court extended on Wednesday the arrest of Anwar Al-Qaq, Jamal Akawi, Jamal Natsheh and Marwan Hashlamon until next Sunday.

Releases on condition of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was also informed that Al-Qishleh police in the Old City of Jerusalem released Hasan Obeido, Abu Rmeileh and Sharif on conditions of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 15 days and house-arrest for 5 days.

 

The occupation arrests two Muslim clerics…and continuing to arrest the elderly

The occupation authorities arrested five Jerusalemites after raiding their homes in various areas around the city of Jerusalem. Among the detainees were two employees of the Islamic Awqaf department.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces arrested Yaser Abu Ghazaleh after raiding his home in the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz and Ibrahim Ameera after raiding his home in the village of Sur Baher; both are employees of the Islamic Awqaf department.

The forces also arrested 68-year old Mohammad Amin Yassin after raiding his home in Silwan and another Mohammad Ali Abu Sroor from the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber.

The 30-Mousa Tamimi was also arrested from the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz.
