Arrests…prison sentences…extensions of arrest…and conditional releases
The occupation authorities arrested on Thursday Majd Ghosheh while passing through King Hussein Bridge “Allenby” on his way to perform Umrah.
Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the District and Magistrate judges sentenced several Jerusalemites on charges of throwing stones and Molotov Cocktails as well as incitement on Facebook, and decided to extend the arrest of several others while conditionally releasing others.
Prison sentences…
- The judge sentenced the child Abdullah Abu Khatee for 4 months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 4 months for two years and a 3-thousand NIS fine.
- Ahmad Qawasmi was sentenced for six months and one day and a suspended probation of three months for three years.
- Abdullah Abu Asab was sentenced for 5 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 6 months for three years.
- Yazan Abu Asab was sentenced for 4 months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 3600-NIS fine.
- Mo’men Mahmoud was sentenced for 4 months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 3600-NIS fine.
- Fayez Farhan was sentenced for suspended probation of 4 months for three years, a 100-hours course and a 3000-NIS fine.
- Shadi Kleib was sentenced for a suspended probation of 4 months for three years, a 100-hours course and a 3000-NIS fine.
- Sufian Abulhawa and Mohammad Samir Abulhawa were convicted of throwing stones and were fines 5 thousand NIS each.
- Daoud Abulhawa was convicted of throwing stones and was fined 3600 NIS.
- Mohammad Obeidi was sentenced for a suspended probation of three months for three years and a 100-hours course.
- Odai Halseh was sentenced for 4 and a half months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 5 months for three years and a 5-thousand NIS fine.
- Eyad Shweiki was sentenced 6 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 6 months for three years.
- Majd Darwish was sentenced for 10 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 6 months for three years.
Extending the arrest of minors
The Magistrate and District judges extended the arrest of Adham Ja’abees until 14/6/2016, Mohammad Burqan and Tawfiq Othman until 14/7/2016, Basel Mheisen until 20/6/2016, Fadi Mit’eb until 12/7/2016, Malek Shqeir until 21/6/2016 (sentencing), Fathi Dweik until 19/7/2016, Mohammad Abu Khdeir until 11/7/2016, Abed Dari until 21/6/2016, Hussein Darwish and Odai Obeid and Ahmad Obeid until 28/6/2016, Mohammad Ammouri until 18/7/2016, Munther Khalil until 5/6/2016 and Firas Mahmoud until completing the legal procedures against him.
The judge also extended the arrest of the minors Sultan Khweis and Mahdi Abu Ghannam until Friday; they were arrested on Thursday from the village of Al-Tur.
Releasing minors
The Magistrate judge decided to release Mahmoud Abulhawa, Khalil Abulhawa, Mohammad Abu Ghannam and Abdullah Abu Ghannam with a 5-thousand NIS third party bail, and released Mohammad Ashayer with a 500-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 3 days. He also released Mohammad Abu Hummos on condition of house-arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS, and Amir Farroukh with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for two days. The minors Ahmad and Yousef Syaj were also released on condition of house-arrest for two days and a 1000-NIS bail for each.
Extending the arrest of young men
The judge extended the arrest of Mouath Abed Rabbo indefinitely, Salameh Obeid until 18/7/2016, Mohammad Mughrabi and Hashem Abulhawa until 3/6/2016, Samer Hamdan until 12/9/2016, Mohammad Bader and Odai Obeid until completing the legal procedures against them, Yousef Alayan until 3/7/2016, Ahmad Khalil until 18/7/2016, Eyad Shalabi until 19/7/2016, Abed Abu Sneineh and Mohammad Abu Rayyaleh until 27/9/2016 (sentencing), Hussam Zmurod and Mohammad Za’tari until 18/7/2016 (sentencing), Hakim Dirbas until 10/7/2016 and Mohammad Naser and Anas Abu Mayaleh until 13/7/2016.
Releasing young men
The Magistrate judge decided to release Amir Hadreh with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 7 days, and released Kifah Abulhawa and Daoud Abulhawa with a third-party bail. Louai Satleeh was released with a 500-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for three days while Ahed Abbasi and Ala’ Abu Tayeh were released with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 2 days.
Also, Mansour Naser was released on conditions of house-arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail of 7 thousand NIS, and Basel Abu Diab was released on conditions of a 500-NIS bail, house-arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS in addition to a travel-ban for one months.
House-arrest
The District judge decided to release he child Mahmoud Naser on condition of house-arrest and deportation to his sister’s house.
He also decided to release the child Mohammad Abu Khdeir with a 1500-NIS bail, house-arrest and a third-party bail, and released Sameh Najib with a 5-thousand NIS bail, a third-party bail of 10 thousand NIS and house-arrest.
