Reducing the sentence of a minor…extending the arrest of young men and a woman
The Israeli Supreme Court reduced the sentence against 15-year old Jihad Ja’bari while the District and Magistrate judges extended the arrest of several Jerusalemites.
Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli Supreme Court approved the appeal he had submitted against the District Court’s decision to sentence his client Jihad Ja’bari for 18 months of actual imprisonment and reduced it to 14 months on charges of throwing Molotov Cocktails.
On the other hand, the judge extended the arrest of Adham Za’tari until 22/6/2016, Mahmoud Abu Shamsieh until 31/10/2016, Mohammad Halseh until 27/6/2016, Mahmoud Naser until 14/7/2016 and Mousa Abbasi until 18/9/2016.
The judge also extended the arrest of Rama Abdellatif until Monday afternoon to discuss the appeal submitted by the lawyer to reduce the house-arrest conditions imposed on her.
Also, the judge recently released to release the child Mahdi Abu Ghannam and Sultan Khweis on condition of house-arrest and a 10-thousand NIS bail for each in addition to a third-party bail for each.
In the same context, the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Khadijeh Khweis until next Thursday.
