Arrests…prison sentences…extensions of arrest

The occupation forces arrested on Wednesday night a Jerusalemite child during a raid on the village of Esawyeh.

Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained that the occupation forces raided the village in the afternoon hours and were deployed in the streets which became a daily act on their side. They ascended the roof of the building of Karim Hamdan and deliberately provoked the locals and arrested Munir Mohammad Abed Mheisen.

Abu Hummos pointed out that the occupation soldiers deliberately raid the village in the afternoon hours and harass the locals with checkpoints, checking their IDs and issuing them traffic tickets in addition to randomly firing sound grenades and rubber bullets.

The forces also raided the village on Wednesday early morning and arrested 7 young men, they are: Adam Mahmoud (16), Majd Obeid (17), Qusai Dari (16), Ata Awadallah (18), Munib Kayed Mahmoud (24), Mohammad Jamal Mahmoud (22) and Anwar Sami Obeid (18).

Prison sentences

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli judges issued prison sentences against a group of young men and children, they are:

  • Ahmad Abu Roumi: Actual imprisonment for 18 months
  • Adam Abu Shamaleh: Actual imprisonment for 14 months
  • Ahmad Abu Aweis: Actual imprisonment for 10 months
  • Mohammad Abu Aweis: Actual imprisonment for 7 months and a suspended probation of 6 months for two years
  • Ali Mheisen: Actual imprisonment for 8 months and a suspended probation of 6 months for two years
  • Younes Alayan: Actual imprisonment for 6 months and a suspended probation of 6 months for two years
  • Bashar Jbareen: A suspended probation of 4 months for two years, a 3-thousand NIS fine and a 150-hour course
  • Mohammad Haymooni: Actual imprisonment for 10 months, a suspended probation of 4 months for two years and a 4-thousand NIS fine
  • Majd Halawani: A suspended probation of 3 months for two years, an 1800-NIS fine and a 100-hour course
  • Hasan Abbasi: A 120-hour course and a 3600-NIS fine
  • Mohammad Sarhan: A 140-hour course, a 3600-NIS fine and 7500 NIS as compensation to the settler

Extensions of arrest

On the other hand, the judge extended the arrest of Anas Aqra’ until 20/7/2016, Daoud Abu Sbitan until 19/9/2016, Ahmad Hindi until 27/9/2016, Mahmoud Mheisen and Ala’ Salah and Fadel Karaki until 5/10/2016, Qusai Khalil and Ayoub Hindi and Yousef Obeid until 27/9/2016, Malek Hijazi until 27/7/2016, Khaled Abu Nab until 18/7/2016, Mohammad Halayqa until 20/7/2016, Mohammad Abu Khdeir until 26/9/2016 and Omar Mona until 27/7/2016. The judge also extended the arrest of Majd Mustafa, Yehya Dirbas, Mohammad Obeid and Hani Naser until 30/8/2016 for sentencing and Mohammad Abu Nab until 25/9/2016 for sentencing.

Also, the judge extended the arrest of Issa Firawi and Firas Mahmoud until 27/9/2016, Abed Abu Saymeh until 6/9/2016, Fadi Mit’eb and Mohammad Abu Aweis until 27/9/2016 and Adham Obeidat until 26/9/2016.

The occupation police recently released Musbah Abu Sbeih and handed him an order of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 4 months and also renewed the travel-ban imposed on him for an addition 5 months.
