A decision to keep the metal detectors…a series of arrest against Jerusalemite leaders and activists

The occupation forces imposed a strict siege on the Old City of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque concurrently with the Israeli Cabinet’s decision to keep the metal detectors that were installed at Al-Aqsa gates.

The police said in a statement that restrictions will be imposed on the entrance of Muslim men to the Old City of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa where men under the age of 50 will not be allowed to enter while no restrictions will be imposed against women.

The forces placed iron barriers at the junctions close to the Old City and mounted iron barriers at the entrance of Lions Gate and the road leading to it after Thursday midnight.

On Friday early morning hours, the occupation forces executed several arrests against Jerusalemite activists.

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli forces arrested Hatem Abdelqader (head of Fateh movement in Jerusalem), Adnan Gheith (secretary of Fateh movement in Jerusalem), Amjad Abu Asab (head of Jerusalemite detainees and prisoners families committee), Hani Gheith, Naser Ajaj, Mousa Abbasi, Mohammad Daoud Abulhawa, Naser Hidmi and Zuheir Za’aneen.
