Occupation authorities demolish a house in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber south of Jerusalem

The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished on Tuesday morning a house in Raba’ya neighborhood in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber south of Jerusalem under the pretext of building without a permit.

Special Forces, dogs unit and municipality crews along with bulldozers raided the Raba’ya neighborhood on Tuesday morning and raided the house of Shallodi family. They surrounded the house and then evicted the residents and took out some of the contents of the house before proceeding with the demolition operation.

Sana’ Halseh- Shallodi explained that the municipality demolished her house without prior notice. Upon arrival of municipality crews, she immediately called her lawyer who headed to the municipality and was able to postpone the demolition order but the bulldozers were one demolishing her house.

Halseh said she lived in the 65-square meters house with her husband and two daughters for 3 months.

Hamzeh Shallodi, owner, explained that municipality crews refused to postpone the demolition for some time as the family’s lawyer was trying to postpone the demolition through court, and started the demolition process. The court decided to postpone the demolition but the bulldozers had already demolished most of the house except for parts of one room.
