The occupation authorities released four Jerusalemite brothers with bails, house-arrest and isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque.

They are: Ahmad and his twin-brother Mahmoud Idris (22), Mouath Idris (33) and Mouayad Idris (28).

Mouath Idris explained that the occupation forces arrested him and his brothers Ahmad and Mouayad last Sunday afternoon from the area of Al-Majles Gate- one of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates- while Mahmoud was arrested on Wednesday.

Mouath added that occupation forces arrested him and detained him near Al-Majles Gate before severely beating him. He lost consciousness and was then taken to Al-Silsileh gate police station in the Old City of Jerusalem where he was assaulted again. Afterwards, he was transferred to Al-Buraq Square and was checked by a doctor who recommended transferring him to a hospital; he suffered from a dislocated shoulder and multiple bruises.

Mouath also explained that the forces arrested his brother Ahmad after raiding the neighbor’s house and evicting the residents. He was severely beaten and arrested. Mouayad accompanied his brother while being threatened and was arrested as well. Ahmad suffered fractures in his nose, bruises in the shoulder, head and back; he was also receiving treatment at the hospital

Mouath added that the occupation accused him of several charges including an attempt to take the soldier’s weapon and attack him, while Ahmad was accused of attacking a soldier with a stick and Mahmoud was accused of throwing stones. Mouayad was accused of threatening a policeman.

He added that the court extended their arrest until Thursday and then decided to release them on condition of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 45 days, house-arrest for 5 days and a financial bail of 1000-NIS.
