Releasing a Jerusalemite child

The Magistrate judge decided to release Adam Hamdan (14) on condition of house-arrest; he is from the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan.

Khaldoun Nijem, Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer, explained that the Magistrate judge decided to release his client Hamdan on condition of house-arrest until Monday and a 1000-NIS bail.

Nijem added that the prosecution requested to extend the arrest of Hamdan until Sunday to file ean indictment against him including charges of throwing stones, but the judge decided to release him after hearing the lawyer’s defense statement.

Nijem pointed out that his client was arrested last Tuesday morning while heading to school in Ras Al-Amoud. The occupation authorities extended his arrest and presented him to court on Wednesday.
