Occupation authorities demolish two houses and a wall in Jerusalem
On Tuesday, the occupation municipality demolished a house in Beit Hanina, while Abu Rmeileh family was forced to self-demolish their home in the village of Issawiya following an order by the municipality.
Beit Hanina
The Israeli bulldozers demolished a house in Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem, owned by Eyad Salim Kiswani under the pretext of building without a permit.
Eyad Kiswani explained that municipal crews and bulldozers accompanied by the Israeli forces, broke into his house and completelysurrounded it. Then they started the demolition operation under the pretext of building without a permit. It is noteworthy that the house was built 17 years ago and has an area of nearly 180 square meters. He pointed out that he received the demolition order and wasn’t given any time to object.
Issawiya
Abu Rmeileh family was forced to self-demolish their house, which is under construction, following a decision by the occupation municipality.
Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of the follow-up committee in Issawiya, said that Abu Rmeileh family demolished their 80-square-meter house.
The family explained that the municipality threatened to impose fines and demolition costs on the family if they don’t execute the demolition order themselves.
The municipality’s bulldozers also demolished a retaining wall in the village of Issawiya.
