Suppressing the Sheikh Jarrah demonstration and arresting 4 young men
On Saturday afternoon, the occupation forces arrested 4 young men after suppressing a demonstration in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, in opposition to decisions to evacuate the neighborhood's families for the benefit of the settlers.
The occupation forces attacked the demonstrators, including young men and women, with sound grenades, beating and pushing, and confiscated the Palestinian flags raised in the demonstration.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center / Jerusalem stated that the forces surrounded the demonstration after it reached the main street in the neighborhood, and during that the forces attacked the demonstrators several times, while the youths continued chanting slogans condemning the evacuation and settlement activities.
Young men also hung the Palestinian flag on the building of the Al-Ghawi family, which they seized in 2009.
On Sunday, the Supreme Court will hold a session to hear the appeal submitted by the families of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood on the decisions to evict them from their homes in favor of the settlers who claim their ownership of the land.
