Pictures…Storming Al-Aqsa Mosque…injuries and arrests
The occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the end of the Friday prayers, and attacked thousands of worshipers with sound grenades, rubber bullets and pepper gas, and arrested and detained dozens in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and at its gates.
The occupation forces suppressed a march in the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock with sound grenades, rubber bullets and beating with batons, and then pursued the worshipers in Al-Aqsa courtyards and forced hundreds of them to leave Al-Aqsa.
Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, denounced the attack on worshipers in Al-Aqsa, and said: “The forces attacked a march in Al-Aqsa upon reaching the roof of the Dome of the Rock, under the pretext of “throwing empty bottles at them”. Dozens of injuries were recorded, as well as arrests of young men from Al-Majles Gate and Lions Gate.
Sheikh Al-Kiswani noted that 50,000 worshipers performed the Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On his part, Dr. Amin Abu Ghazaleh - the Arab Health Center / Al-Aqsa Mosque Clinics - said that Al-Aqsa clinics dealt with 16 injuries, 2 of which were described as moderate, "a deep cut, and a wound in the hand."
The Palestinian Red Crescentsaid that its crews dealt with 21 injuries in Al-Aqsa, 2 of which were taken to the hospital, as well as one in Damascus Gate area and another in the area of Herods Gate.
Arrests and detention
The occupation forces stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa detained dozens of young men and boys, especially at Lions Gate, and photographed them and their identity cards, then released them.
The forces also arrested a number of young men from the gates of Al-Aqsa and the roads of the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to arrests from Jerusalem towns in the afternoon.
The occupation forces suppressed a march in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, and sprayed wastewater towards the demonstrators, the streets and homes.
The lawyers of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, Mohammad Mahmoud and Firas al-Jabrini, and local sources told the center that the forces arrested the following on Friday: Faris Odet Allah, Harbi al-Razem, Samer al-Bakri, Mohannad al-Bakri, Abdullah al-Bakri, Mohammad al-Salaymeh, Ahmad Burqan, Malik Abu Hadwan, Ihab Najajrah, Musa Jbour, Youssef Taha, Majd Abu Hadwan, Ezz Abu Kaf, Nour Abu Kaf, Alaa’ Abu Kaf, Ali Abu Sarhan, and Mohammad Farroukh.
The police also released the Jerusalemite activist Nihad Zghayyar, on condition that he be deported from Al-Aqsa for a period of 6 months.
The occupation authorities transferred Amir Zghayyar to administrative detention for a period of 4 months, knowing that he was arrested and beatentwo days ago.
