January 27, 2023

A short while ago, Wadi’ Aziz Abu Rammouz, a 16-year-old Jerusalemite, died of his wounds that he sustained last Wednesday during clashes in Silwan.

Mohammad Mahmoud, a lawyer for the Information Center of Wadi Hilweh - Jerusalem, said that the martyrdom of Wadi’ Abu Rammouz was announced a short while ago in the "Shaare Zedek" hospital.

The boy, Abu Rammouz, was wounded by an explosive bullet in the abdomen, and his injury was described as serious and unstable.

The boy, Abu Rammouz, underwent "several surgeries from the moment he was injured in an attempt to stop the bleeding in the abdominal area."

Firas al-Jabrini, a lawyer at the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem - quoting the attending medical staff - explained that it was difficult to determine the location of the bleeding in the abdomen due to the explosion of the bullet, which made several holes in the place and thus caused severe bleeding.

The parents of the wounded boy were allowed to visit him in the hospital on Thursday and Friday evenings, after a request submitted to the Magistrates Court to do so.

Al-Jabrini explained that the boy was able to open his eyes and pull his mother's hand when his parents talked to him on Thursday evening.

Despite the critical health condition of the young man, Abu Rammouz, the forces tied him to the treatment bed, in addition to the presence of forced inside and outside the room.
