About Silwanic
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was established in 2009 and was named after the area where it is located. The center aims at revealing the facts and history of the village of Silwan. It also revealed the occupation's violations in terms of its various institutions and settlement organizations in Silwan in particular and Jerusalem in general.
Wadi Hilweh...The name of the neighborhood adjacent to the southern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Silwan which is also targeted the most by the Israeli authorities. In an attempt to erase the history of this neighborhood, it was named "City of David" and the center was named after the neightborhood's original name to prevent it from being falsified or forgotten
