On Saturday, A'oruba concluded the second exhibition of traditional handicrafts in Willy Brandet center in Abu Tur. The exhibition included embroidery works, and traditional food Palestinian, sold at nominal prices. The political situation and closures taking place in the city of Jerusalem have had a negative impact on the women's exhibition. The supervisor of the exhibition said, "I have received apologies from many visitors for not coming because of the closures and the security situation, we have witnessed a low turnout compared with last year." Abu Tor, as most of the other countrysides in Jerusalem, has a noticeable police presence. One woman from the group, said,"an Israeli police officer stopped us when we were distributing flyers for the exhibition, and a member of the police interrogated us about the subject of the flyer" The group emphasized that the objective of this exhibition is to highlight the Palestinian heritage in the community, and to present it to foreigners. The women expressed their hope that the coming year will be better.
