Violent clashes break out in Silwan as settler guards attempt to arrest young men
This afternoon, a group armed guards from Elad settlement association attempted to arrest young men from Silwan in the Al Bustan neighborhood. Nearby residents tried to prevent them, and clashes broke out immediately. A large force of Israeli police and soldiers came to the village to protect the Elad guards, and began heavy gunfire, as well firing stun grenades. A Palestinian man was shot with a live bullet in his foot. The guards assaulted Wadi Hilwah information center photographer "Ahmad Siam" while he was trying to film the events. A large number of Israeli forces were presented in the village.
